Mayor Alex B. Morse

Welcome to the page of the Mayor’s Office. My name is Alex B. Morse and I took office as the Mayor of the City of Holyoke on January 3, 2012. I believe that our city’s government should be accessible, transparent, responsive to our citizens, and reflective of the core goodness of our people. I hope you find this website to be a useful tool in staying up-to-date with events in Holyoke. More than that, though, I hope this website helps in keeping our government accessible and responsive.   

My administration’s top priorities are redeveloping and revitalizing our downtown, ensuring public safety, guaranteeing a sound education for our young people, and renewing a sense of community pride among all of Holyoke’s residents. Our city has several new projects in the works, including the construction of a new library and the construction of a high-tech computing center. With the strides we have taken, and with the proud spirit of Holyoke’s residents to keep us moving, I know Holyoke is prepared to undergo a rebirth.

My door at City Hall is always open. Please do not hesitate to be in touch, and to inform us of ways I can ensure that Holyoke is a place we are all proud to call home.
